Nelson Brittain has been providing comprehensive fee-based financial planning services since entering the industry in 2010. He is passionate about helping individuals, families, business owners, farmers, ranchers, and executives create clear, actionable strategies to pursue their financial goals. His mission is to ensure every client has a well-defined roadmap designed to help them achieve financial independence, enjoy a confident retirement, and leave a lasting legacy.

Before beginning his career in financial services, Nelson served as a Special Operations soldier in the U.S. Army. That experience shaped his philosophy on financial planning: while circumstances may change, the discipline of planning is essential to long-term success. He believes that achieving meaningful financial goals requires understanding your objectives, evaluating your resources, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategies to navigate challenges along the way.

A strong advocate for investor education, Nelson believes informed clients make better financial decisions. He is committed to helping clients understand not only the recommendations within their financial plan, but also the reasoning behind them, empowering them to take ownership of their financial future with confidence.

Nelson is actively involved in several professional and community organizations, including the Farragut/West Knox Chamber of Commerce, the Tennessee Forestry Association, the Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association, and the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. Nelson is an Investment Advisor Representative and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.

Outside the office, Nelson enjoys spending time outdoors and appreciates activities that connect him to the land and water. His interests include sporting clays, riflery, archery, hunting, horseback riding, and woodworking in his workshop.
