Our Community

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.                                 ~Winston Churchill

Our Charity Committee was formed in 2016 after the horrible floods in our hometown of historic Ellicott City. We wanted to provide a structure for us to give back and share our resources with those in need. We have a goal to increase our impact in the community by supporting important causes to our team and clients.

Angel Park Clean Up

Angel Park Clean Up

On April 12, 2026, our Chairman and Founding Partner, Mike Ward, joined his children, Dom and Brookie, along with Client Relationship Manager Zach Szczybor, for a day of community service at Angel Park in Perry Hall. The team helped clean and maintain the park by picking up trash, weeding, sweeping, scrubbing benches, and polishing artwork.

Created in memory of Ryan Szczybor, who passed away from leukemia at 15 months old, Angel Park is an all-inclusive playground and memorial space designed for children of all abilities. Featuring attractions like a castle, zipline, butterfly garden, and wheelchair-accessible swing, the park reflects the power of compassion and community. We’re grateful to support its mission and help preserve a place built for healing, inclusion, and joy.

Giving Tuesday 2025

On this “Giving Tuesday” 2025, StoneBridge Advisors is proud to support The Ryan Foundation in their mission to help stock the Child Life Closet at Johns Hopkins Hospital to bring moments of comfort and hope to children and their families as they battle cancer. Clients were invited to support this worthy cause by donating books, journals, fidget items and hand-held games for children ages 0-20 to play during long hospital stays.

Shred Days

Shred Days

In the fall, we welcome clients and members of the community to our Ellicott City and Towson offices for our annual Shred Day events. We offer this opportunity to safely dispose of sensitive documents, with secure, on-site shredding provided by a trusted professional vendor.  As a thank-you for participating, we give each person a free reusable shopping bag—because we’re committed to protecting both your privacy and the environment.

BrightMind Enrichment Matching Donation

BrightMind Enrichment Matching Donation

Thanks to StoneBridge Advisors for matching our Client Service Manager, Sori Meredith’s donation to Bethany United Methodist Church’s auction in August 2025 in support of BrightMind Enrichment, a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to bridge gaps in access to wellness education and community education and aid those in great need. Funds raised at the auction were donated to BrightMind Enrichment to support their Street Care app created to help volunteers direct homeless in Anne Arundel and Howard Counties to available local resources and services.

Golfing for Charities

Golfing for Charities

Throughout the year, rain or shine, our staff members bring their A-game to various charity golf events. In 2025, our StoneBridge’s financial support benefitted the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, The Ryan Foundation, the Lieutenant James H. Love '77 Endowed Scholarship and the Captain John Graziano '08 Endowed Scholarship Funds at Archbishop Spalding High School.  Charities benefit while we have a tee-rrific time!

To commemorate Memorial Day, Sori Meredith, Client Service Manager, joined her husband, Joel, and Eagle Scout, Collin, as station captains during the “We Remember” event hosted by The National Pike District of Scouting America on Friday, May 23, 2025. During the event, Scouts from Howard and Baltimore Counties placed flags at each of the 47,000 graves at Baltimore National Cemetery and Loudon Park National Cemetery — a meaningful tribute honoring the memory and sacrifice of our fallen service members.
